Posture and wellness reminders
Posture flashes and wellness nudges supplement—not replace—your work/break timer. Configure them in Settings → Posture and Settings → Notifications.
Posture reminders
Posture reminders are on by default. They show a brief visual flash to prompt you to reset your posture while you work.
| Setting | Default | Available value |
|---|---|---|
| Enable posture reminders | On | On or off |
| Interval | 10 min | 1–30 min |
| Flash duration | 600 ms | 50–10,000 ms |
Turn the reminder off when another accessibility or ergonomics tool already provides the same cue. Changing the interval changes future reminders, not the work/break cadence.
Wellness nudges
Wellness nudges are optional prompts for small health actions. They are off by default, so you choose when they should appear and which subjects they cover.
| Setting | Default | UI range or options |
|---|---|---|
| Enable wellness nudges | Off | On or off |
| Frequency | 45 min | 5–180 min, in 5-minute steps |
| Auto-dismiss | 15 sec | 5–60 sec |
| Position | Bottom right | Top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left, center |
| Categories | Movement, Posture, Vision, Breathing, Hydration | Select any combination |
Choose categories that fit your workday. For example, use Vision for a look-away prompt, Movement for a short stretch, Breathing for a reset, Posture for alignment, or Hydration for a drink reminder.
Preview and timing
Use the preview controls in the relevant settings cards to check how a posture flash or wellness nudge will look before waiting for the next interval. Previews demonstrate the surface; they do not rewrite the main timer’s current work or break state.
The three systems operate alongside one another:
- The main timer schedules work intervals and short/long breaks.
- A posture reminder runs on its own interval while enabled.
- A wellness nudge runs on its own frequency while enabled.
If a main break is imminent, follow the break surface rather than treating a wellness prompt as a substitute. See Timers and breaks for break behavior and Settings reference for every bound and default.
