Smart pauses and schedules
Use Settings → Timers and Settings → Meeting to make Restier follow your availability rather than interrupt it.
Pause when you are away
Idle detection is enabled by default. It can pause the timer after inactivity, reset after a longer absence, and pause an active break when you return and interact.

The reset threshold must be longer than the pause threshold. Use a short pause threshold for accurate focused-time tracking, or a longer threshold if brief interruptions are common.
Limit the timer to working hours
Working hours are off by default. Enable them to run Restier only in your chosen schedule.
- Simple mode applies one start/end time and the selected weekdays. Its default is 09:00–18:00, Monday through Friday.
- Advanced mode lets you turn each weekday on or off and give each active day its own start/end time. Its saved defaults are 09:00–18:00 Monday–Friday, with Saturday and Sunday off.
- Times use 24-hour
HH:MMvalues. Overnight ranges are supported; select at least one active day.
Respect meetings
Meeting detection is off by default. When enabled, Restier uses selected microphones and cameras as meeting signals. All discovered devices begin selected; unchecking a device adds it to the excluded list. Turn on Force break when meeting ends only when you want a due break to start immediately after a meeting ends.
On the Mac App Store build, enabling meeting detection requests microphone and camera permission. On Linux, the settings screen can show diagnostics when no audio/video devices are discoverable and the needed audio tools are unavailable.
Use No Interruptions and a daily limit
Use the tray/menu-bar No Interruptions control when you need a temporary uninterrupted period; if you enable a global shortcut for it, it can be toggled without opening the menu. This is an immediate mode, separate from recurring working hours.
The daily work limit is enabled by default at 8 hours. Choose 1–16 hours in 0.5-hour steps. When the limit is reached, Restier shows its clock-out state instead of continuing the day as normal.
